need advice about school...

im active duty, and my four year enlistment is up september 12th. id really like to start school this fall semester, but im not sure ill have the time. might have to start the spring semester.

problem is, im SURE im underprepared, i graduated in 04 so ive been out of the 'schoolwork' loop for a while, and although i can deal with the workload fairly well i just think i should prepare more. in high school i did not take the sat or act, so im unsure if i need to take those. i know some colleges have a seperate test they can have yo utake if youve been out of school a few years, and im also wondering if the whole application process is different since i am a veteran? if anyone can shed light on this pease let me know.

im thinking that my best bet would be to go to a JC, and take those two years to prepare and get my shit together for a transfer to a state college to finish my bachelors in whatever. thanks in advance for the help

Well when you go to the JC. Say HCC in this case (that is the one I went to) I didn't take the SAT nor ACT so they had me take a college placement test CPT. Which determines what classes you should start taking. You are 100% guarenteed entrance into A class. Not a college credit class just a pre reading or pre math class.

Just sign up for that CPT test.

I can't comment on the veterans. Only think I could imagine would be different is financial aid.

I just thought that CalUniversity will help your further education, which offers distance learning programs, admission’s counselors will make your education experience smoother and easier than you ever thought possible. You can take up any of the new courses among several Masters and Doctorate programs available.
