Did you guys get the new navigation menus?

On Demand is worlds faster with it if you did get it....channel to channel wasn't noticeable for me, but going from format to format was (HD to SD, and SD to HD)...

Yeah. Got the new navigation. It seems after a bit to go from channel to channel quicker. Browsing through channel programming is definitely faster.

If it's still slow try rebooting it. All the boxes I have here are SA 8300's and don't have the new navigator, should be soon though.

OMG I dunno if it's just my signal but I can't seem to get any On Demand movies to play with out locking up. Video stops but audio continues and is broken up. I'll give it some time to let them get it all updated.

I got the update yesterday on my living room box. It's alright I guess but I'm not crazy about the guide. The previous guide had indicators pointing to the left or to the right if the program was longer than the guide was wide and this one doesn't. You can't tell the length of the program without viewing the info. Also, for some reason or another, when paging up and down through the guide, there's a channel layover between each page. So say there are 5 rows of channels to be seen on the guide, when paging down, the channel on the bottom row is now at the top and you can see only 4 new rows worth of channels.

Also, the guide doesn't really use all of the real estate that its given.

Other than the guide though, it's not bad. I haven't had time to mess with everything else but no complaints otherwise.

Being able to search for shows/series with more than just the first letter is priceless.

I got the update a week ago on my back box in my room only. Let me tell you it's crap. Some new features are nice like the search and favorite options, but it lags and is very slow. Also don't watch it late at night because it freezes all the time and you have to reboot the entire box and it takes 2-5 mins. Also if you're watching a show in SD you have to stretch the picture each time you change the channel.

Ick, stretching a picture in SD would look goofy as hell. Best to leave it in native resolution.
