Dual Monitor Question

Just recently hooked up dual monitors, I have an ATI 3450 HD card already in my PC, it has a DVI, RGB and HDMI outs on it, currently using the DVI and the RGB but of course the identical monitor running on DVI is much sharper.... I'm not running it for clone, i'm running it to multi-task and expand my desktop. If I get a DVI Splitter to use rather than one LCD on the DVI, one on RGB , will the ATI catalyst program detect one display or will it just clone the signal to each of the two displays?

I believe that's a good question to look up in the FAQ. I know some cards will do that and some wont, we have some here at work that run our big displays that are going off of a DVI adapter.

Check the manufacturer website (re: Gigabyte, ASUS, etc.)

Thanks, I figured it out, According to ATI, the card can split DVI signals to two separate displays to extend the desktop.

The HDMI out on the card makes the card think it's a TV monitor and doesn't want to display properly in 1900x1200, i tried that.

The DVI splitter is on it's way and Will resolve my issue.
